Malmesbury Netball Club were proud to welcome the England Netball Captain, Pam Cookey, to their training session last week.
The Club team had entered the Avon NetFest Tournament in May and although they didn't win the tournament, they did win the prize draw and were thrilled at the prospect of Pam giving the club a 2 hour coaching session. Last Thursday saw an unsurprisingly large turnout at training and 25 ladies were warmed up, drilled and coached by one of the country's top players. Club Captain, Maggie Baptiste said "we can only hope a little bit of her magic rubbed off on us! We were most grateful to Pam for giving us two hours out of her busy work and training schedule and wish her and the England team every success in the Jamaica test series in September."
Malmesbury Netball Club is a non-league, social side, welcoming players of all ages and experience. So if you haven't played for a while and fancy getting reacquainted with the game, visit their website at www.malmesburynetball.co.uk or telephone Maggie on 01666 826958.
