Malmesbury Area Board Meeting - 10th November

Residents of Malmesbury are expected to turn out in force

Wednesday brings the next major public meeting regarding the large-scale housing development proposals at Filands and the Wortheys.

The meeting had been previously due to take place at Brinkworth village hall but concerns were raised regarding the strength of feeling in the local community and the potential turnout, particularly as the leader of Wiltshire Council, Jane Scott will be in attendance and will now take place in the Town Hall.

Questions will be taken by Scott on the night and are expected to focus on the proposed development.

Over 300 local residents attended the Town Council Planning meeting in September.

This is the first of two key events in the same week as the developer, Gleeson is holding a two day exhibition during Friday 12th and Saturday 13th November, inviting the public to attend to find out more about the first phase of their plans.

The meeting takes place at the Town Hall, at 6.30pm for a 7pm start on Wednesday 10th November.
