Malmesbury air cadet earns his stripes

air-cadet-tomas-talkowskiLocal Malmesbury Air Cadet Tomas Talkowski was rewarded for his achievements and efforts recently, when he was promoted to Cadet Corporal.

Cadet Corporal Talkowski (15) who has been a cadet for two years received his promotion, in recognition of his commitment, enthusiasm and leadership potential. Corporal Talkowski welcomed the promotion saying, "I'd been hoping for a promotion for a while. I'd taken on more responsibility including drill, which really gave me an insight into what being a Cadet 'Non Commissioned Officer' (NCO) is about." He added, "It's a great feeling knowing all of your effort and commitment pays off. I had recently attained my Leading Cadet classification, so to be promoted as well in the space of two months is amazing."

A promotion within the ATC is a great thing to achieve, Squadron Training Officer, Flying Officer Jonathan Wakefield RAF VR(T) added "Gaining your Corporal stripes requires a lot of work and dedication and I congratulate Corporal Talkowski on his well deserved promotion."
