Malmesbury Primary Care Centre goes online

Patients can now book Appointments with their Doctor ‘On Line’, where GP appointments are available up to 6 weeks ahead and appointments for Blood Tests can be booked online, even when the Surgery is closed.

To register for this service the patient must visit the Surgery with proof of identity i.e. official photographic document such as a Passport / Driving Licence. Reception staff will be able to give them their login details there and then. It is very quick and easy.

Once registered, the patient will have the same access to these appointments as they would if they phoned into the Centre. Also, appointments can be cancelled and rearranged.

As the system is used more and more, additional appointments are expected to be made available (i.e. Nurses / travel Clinics etc).

Reminders via text for appointments will also be available in the next few weeks and this will hopefully solve the problem of wasted appointments when patients forget to turn up.

All these new features along with an improved Repeat Prescription ordering system will help patients who find it difficult to access the Centre when it is open.

All this information and more can be found on the web site: www.malmesburypcc.nhs.net
