Nominations are now open to recommend someone for each of the three categories.
These include Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year (the John Poole Cup) and Organisation / Group of the Year (the Paul Dove Trophy).
Last year’s winners included Neil Muttock, one of the main organisers of the town’s Boondocks music festival; Rosie Dicks, a Malmesbury School pupil who has committed her time to fundraising for charity; and the team behind Movies at Malmesbury, who have hosted more than 400 screenings in the past four years in the town.
Nominees for Citizen of the Year must be aged over 26 and between 16 and 25 for the Young Citizen award.
They must live in the wider Malmesbury area, including St Paul Without and Brokenborough, and organisations must be centred in the area.
To propose an individual or organisation for an award, people need to complete the application form available at the Tourist Information Centre or online at malmesbury.gov.uk
Forms can then be dropped into the town hall or emailed to [email protected]
Each nominee will need a proposer and seconder, for whom the council need contact details, and the form must give the reason for nomination.
The deadline for nominations is Friday, April 7.
