The 12th September brings the first of an occasional series of Lazy Sundays to the Rose & Crown in Lea.

Approximately 50,000 visitors explore the beautiful 12th century Abbey.

The Abbey is open nearly 365 days a year – closing for a few days after Christmas and New Year's day and for occasional filming or maintenance.

Castle Combe Circuit opened just 18 months after Silverstone.

In the summer of 1950, Castle Combe Circuit opened 18 months after silverstone making it one of the longest established circuits in the UK. Until 1999, the circuit followed it's original layout, around the perimeter of the old air base.

Lydiard Park is the ancestral home of the Viscounts Bolingbroke.

The Palladian house, beautiful church, formal parkland and surrounding pasture are the striking remains of a great country estate which reached its peak in the 18th Century. Rescued from ruin by the Swindon Corporation in 1943.
