Malmesbury Abbey Music Society Popular
MAMS was formed in 1972 for the promotion of good music in Malmesbury Abbey, which is acclaimed for its marvellous acoustics for both choral and orchestral music.
The society has earned the reputation as a promoter of top quality concerts, engaging internationally renowned artistes as well as local musicians and young talent - the stars of tomorrow.

Sat April 14th - Wiltshire and Swindon Youth Orchestra, conductor Timothy Redmond, soloist Harry Smith (saxophone) play
Bernstein: Three Dance Episodes from On the Town
Khachaturian: Masquerade Suite
Debussy: Rhapsody for Saxophone and Orchestra
Beethoven: Symphony No 5
Sat May 19th - Eniko Magyar (viola) and Timothy End (piano) play music from Hungary.
Sat June 23rd - Pantagruel. 17th century music on ancient instruments by two players and solo voice.
Sat July 14th - Rockhampton Wind Quintet play music for flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon and horn by Darius Milhaud, Malcolm Arnold and others.
Sat Sept 17th - Andrew Lumsden, Director of Music at Winchester Cathedral gives an organ recital.
Sat Oct 13th - Bath Camerata, directed by Nigel Perrin, give their usual varied concert with anything from Renaissance motets to 21st century, including a recent work Choir Straits.
Tickets cost £13.50, students £5. A season ticket to cover all concerts costs £50.
