I feel like I’ve just found the kick-start needed to sort out my somewhat lacking fitness routine, or rather generally unhealthy lifestyle that I seem to have drifted into. It’s not that I’ve become lazy; it’s just a complete lack of hours in the day. I've been a member of a gym times before but every time I end up just not going so have been looking for something a little bit more sustainable.
Michael has set up a small studio in the High Street above Glow. It’s got a really nice atmosphere and if you’re like me; not overly keen on being in fitness gear in front of everyone else at the gym it’s perfect. I had a personal fitness session (assessing diet etc. too) but he also runs courses with just a very small number in the same private surroundings. I’m planning to join up as it will be a course of 8 weeks so I’ll always have the end in sight!
I didn’t know quite what to expect but Michael’s given me an eating plan and a few exercises to do each morning. We used the ‘kettle bell’, which I’d not even heard of. It was surprisingly hard but it felt like what I needed – it was tailored to my goals.
What I really took away from the session was that you don’t need a large area to do some really effective exercise. Neither do you need to spend an hour at a time on it or go on a really restrictive diet. Michael gave me some great tips like the fact that metabolism works best in the morning so I need to eat / work out to best suit that, and he told me how.
I feel really inspired and as and when I lose that, I can just go back for another session to get my direction back in focus.
This seems like a good way to go and Michael, I wish you every success in your new business.
Thank you.

My husband realised on Saturday morning, typically, that his DJ needed cleaning before a party that evening. The Malmesbury Dry Cleaner was able to do this for us by lunchtime - very impressive!

Bought a friend's birthday present in this shop recently and wow, what great service! The shop owner spent time helping me find exactly what I wanted and advising me what goes with what etc. She packaged them up beautifully too, to a level I definitely couldn't have achieved!
I would highly recommend this shop for some lovely, girly treats and a nice time buying them too.

Excellent - didn't expect to get a £5 M&S voucher for donating some old M&S clothes!
I've just donated a box of items to this shop and even though they had closed for the day, they unlocked the door and even carried the box in from my car.
What nice, welcoming service. Dorothy House are lucky to have such a positive team of volunteers.

I've just tried to deliver a box of items to Sue Ryder but they were closed for 'admin'. Having parked the car, I knocked on the door, assuming that someone would come along and unlock it but NO, they pointed to the sign, then blatantly ignored me and refused to come to the door when I knocked again!!!
The goods went to Dorothy House instead. The funny thing was that they were also closed (4.30pm Saturday afternoon); they not only opened the door but came out to take the box from my car.
It doesn't take much, does it? I know where I'm most likely to take the good stuff to from now on!

We know that everything's hand made in the traditional way with all natural ingredients which is a rare find these days. It was an interesting feature on Countryfile recently too; I'd never even heard of medlars until then so look forward to trying them soon!

I tried both the hot mulled wine and cider at Malmesbury's 'Late Night Shopping' event last week and I would happily have bought a crate of each syrup - absolutely delicious. If you haven't tried it, you're missing out!

A tremendous effort by the Resident's Association at yesterday's Town Council planning meeting.
Everyone should join.

Very happy with the new Subaru bought from David Hendry Cars. That was just over a year ago now and service has been fine since. Nice to be able to deal with someone so close to home on a larger purchase.

I can honestly say we had the best Christmas tree ever from your shop. Thank you!

We have recently used Abacus's services for the first time and found them to be friendly, efficient in their work and fairly priced. They were not immediately easy to get hold of on the telephone but were worth persisting with as they were able to come out quickly in the end. We will not hesitate to use them again when in need of their services and are happy to recommend them.
If it's a useful, household item, you're more or less guaranteed to find it in Knees and if they don't stock it, they can usually order it in.
Knees is a real asset to the High Street and there are times when I'd be lost without them!
