Stolen mini tractor recovered in Cricklade
POLICE officers from Malmesbury and Chippenham alongside a team from the Environment Agency have recovered a stolen mini tractor and secured evidence for later use.
The team of officers attended a business premises outside of Cricklade on Wednesday July 9 following concerns of illegal waste dumping and related criminal activity.
Eight police officers and twelve EA officers were involved in securing and preserving evidence to be used in due course.
A man in his 70s has been asked to attend an interview with the Environment Agency and a man in his 40s has been reported for a handling offence.
Neighbourhood policing veteran Sgt Martin Alvis said “We are always looking at ways where we can work closely with other enforcement agencies.”
“Today was an excellent example of pulling our resources together and I am confident that our attendance at the locations will reinforce our commitment to ensuring that any type of crime in our community will not be tolerated.”
