The pre-carnival launch highlights all the good things that will feature at the carnival, which ends with a procession on August 31.
Blast Off is on Saturday, July 20, from 2pm until 6pm at Malmesbury Victoria Football Club and has been named to mark the 50th anniversary of the Apollo mission to the moon in 1969.
There will be a barbecue, a bouncy castle along with a climbing wall, a visit from the fire and rescue service, face painting and refreshments.
Music is being provided by a DJ and sets from a steel band and the Malmesbury Concert Band.
And visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about carnival, buy tickets for the August events and for the grand raffle with a top prize of £500 cash donated by Malmesbury's Hyams Autos.
A new committee took on the running of the carnival and festival this year adding more events in August.
