'The Superstore Effect', by Economist, Dr Anna Palmer

Her findings paint a bleak picture for existing Malmesbury businesses and employment, including the likely closure of the larger Co-op and other town centre businesses.

Malmesbury for Portas Pilot bid

Residents' Association review of Sainsbury's application

Sainsbury's have submitted a planning application for a large 50,000sq ft, out of town supermarket at the Nurden's Garden Centre site. Based on a preliminary review of this major planning application, the committee of the Malmesbury and St Paul Without Residents' Association recommend opposing the application.
