stencil-shed-sydAfter giving away a large quantity of free artwork to Malmesbury residents last week, Syd the stenciller has now chosen to step up yet again for an even bigger giveaway of paintings. He wanted to make the following announcement to readers:

Hello good people of Malmesbury! All going on since I last wrote on these pages. The elections for Shed of the Year, first round are now moving a pace. You may have caught a view of my 60 free artworks scattered around town on the 21st May, you may now also own a stencil shed artwork. If you haven’t caught the video for my all night escapade then please view on you tube here:

With voting closing on June 16th I feel there is still work to be done by The Stencil Shed in keeping the competition alive and in your minds. Particularly as I have now discovered that the voting policy is ‘vote now and often’ for your favorite shed, roughly translating to you can vote every day once for the Stencil Shed! Followers of the Shed on facebook will no doubt be inflicted by my constant ‘vote Stencil Shed’ daily posts. So, please click this link to vote, or vote again: Click here to vote!

I am hoping my latest and hopefully greatest stencil shed art giveaway is yet to come. In todays local newspapers you might have caught my Diamond Jubilee plans. In short, the Stencil Shed has been working hard in the background developing a very special artwork. Please say hello to Elmo, The Flying Monkey.

Hes huge, about 2ft wide, very detailed, very time consuming to complete. I’ve got at least 10 of these to litter around town… but if you want one, you may have to work a little harder than last time to get it. Lets not forget Elmo can indeed fly (ish)! So please, if you haven’t already like The Stencil Shed on facebook and the clues will start to drip out. The giveaway will last upto the day voting closes on June 16th and may happen at any time of day or night. Watch out particularly during the Diamond Jubilee bank holiday weekend, one special Diamond encrusted Elmo is in development over the coming days. I hope this is of interest to you. Cheers as always for your support and hopefully many shed votes.
