Police ‘cannot enforce roads’

UNDERFUNDING of traffic officers means Wiltshire Police “cannot provide effective enforcement”, a union has said.

PC Tom Wilson, Wiltshire Police Federation representative, said the number of specialist traffic cops had fallen from 142 in 1998 when he joined the force to 24 today.

Wiltshire taxi drivers fury at bid to lower fares
