Fake salesman caught by police

SIX people have been arrested after police were called to numerous reports of door-to-door salesman causing a nuisance in Malmesbury on Tuesday.

A MAN found with a hoard of drugs after jumping the fence to get into WOMAD insisted to police the 10g of ketamine he was carrying was for his own personal use.

A 31-year-old man from Malmesbury is in custody following an incident in Swindon town centre in the early hours of this morning.

A MAN who raped and sexually assaulted a woman will be held in a secure hospital until it is safe to release him.

A TILL has been stolen from Malmesbury Cricket Club.

Police are appealing for information from the public after a till with an unknown amount of cash was stolen from the bar of the Cricket Club on Worthies Lane between 9pm on Thursday, June 14 and 1.30pm on Friday, June 15.
