Gardening competition a blooming success

Malmesbury in Bloom returned with a flourish after a year's hiatus, on Friday, September 22.

Winners gathered on Friday night to receive certificates and cups from Mayor Wayne Jones and competition judge Lisa Gore.

A SET of paintings that were donated to Oxfam in Malmesbury have raised an amazing amount of money after they were sold for about £1600 including gift aid at an auction earlier this month.

Swim teacher gets silver

THE owner of a swimming school for children from Luckington is one of the best triathletes in the world.

Mary Derrick, 59, of Sherston Road, Luckington, brought home a silver medal when she competed at the ITU World Triathlon Grand Final in Rotterdam on September 14.

WHATLEY MANOR, near Malmesbury, has been awarded a Michelin Star, less than a year after executive chef Niall Keating joined for The Dining Room, in the Michelin UK and Ireland Guide 2018.

FUNDRAISERS danced their socks of in Malmesbury Town Hall on Saturday, September 30, as they raised money for three cancer charities.

Vine Tree hosts Breast Cancer Care fundraiser

THE Vine Tree in Malmesbury is holding a fun-filled night of entertainment this evening in aid of Breast Cancer Care.

The Inn, at Foxley Road, is hosting a Pink Night which will feature a glass of pink prosecco, canapés on arrival followed by mains and desserts.

VILLAGERS felt like they had just stepped into a fairytale last weekend as they wandered around Sherston for a magical scarecrow trail and Window Wonderland displays.
