AS part of their 160th anniversary the Malmesbury Concert Band will be entertaining passers-by and shoppers in town's Market Cross and Birdcage Walk this Saturday from from 11am.

ROBINSON'S Fruit Shoots sold at Tesco, Costco and McDonald's are being urgently recalled after safety fears.

The Food Standards Agency has issued the recall on behalf of Britvic PLC for Fruit Shoot Apple and Blackcurrant bottles sold as multipacks in Tesco and Costco plus single bottles in McDonald's between 22 and 28 June.

Rugby player inspires

PUPILS from Malmesbury School welcomed professional English Rugby Union player James Gibbons to the school last week.

He was there to inspire the students to live a healthier, with a circuit class of the pupils and brought medals to show them.

Our little library on the green

A SMALL but perfectly formed library has opened on the Village Green at Lower Stanton St Quintin.

The Wee Free Library was declared open on Saturday, June 22, by Cyril Pennington who gave a talk on the history of the green and about how it had a pond 80 years ago.
