A west Wiltshire independent financial adviser has pledged to donate £100 to Avon Needs Trees for every ethical investment made by new clients.

Daniel Wiltshire, of Wiltshire Wealth, said: "Ethical investing is something I’m personally passionate about as I’m a member of the UK Sustainable Investment and Finance Association.

"With this aim, I’m starting an initiative, whereby for every new client I take on in 2021 who invests in ethical products, Wiltshire Wealth will donate £100 to the Avon Needs Trees project.

"My hope is that the initiative will help both raise awareness and have a direct positive impact through investments and donations.

"I would like to do my bit to further raise awareness of the options available to people - 54 per cent of the UK public is unaware that sustainable and ethical financial products exist. "Over the past year an increasing number of enquiries have been related to ethical investing.

"This, I believe, is indicative of broadening awareness of the impact that personal investments (particularly our pensions) can have on society and the environment.

"Indeed, research shows that sustainable investments are one of the easiest and most efficient ways of reducing your carbon footprint."
