THE growing family team at Goughs Solicitors have been recognised as a ‘Band 1’ department by the prestigious Chambers and Partners legal directory.

The success comes just weeks after the Goughs team were ranked as a leading law firm for the third year running by the other leading directory Legal 500.

Chambers and Partners are an independent research company delivering detailed rankings and insight into the world's leading lawyers. Chambers conducts tens of thousands of interviews a year with in-house counsel and third-party experts, such as barristers and accountants, as well as clients, to deliver detailed insight into providers of legal services.

For Goughs to have been ranked as one of the best, with a Band 1 rating, is a huge achievement.

Two of the firm's partners have also been individually recognised by the directory. They are Richard Bebb, partner and family lawyer, and partner Ross Phillips.

Chambers and Partners said: "Richard is very bright and spots the issue very quickly," while the directory noted that Mr Phillips “communicates well and is thorough."

Mr Bebb said: “At Goughs we take huge pride in our client care. I am tremendously proud of the family team for having been credited as a top firm for family and matrimonial matters."

"To be individually ranked is a great honour. Developing a rapport with my clients and helping them achieve their goals is what makes me tick as a lawyer. Having that recognised is extremely rewarding.”

Mr Phillips said: “Being noted on my communication with clients and thoroughness in the work I carry out is extremely pleasing.

"I pride myself on building meaningful and productive relationships with clients to ensure the best possible outcomes for them.

"The ‘Band 1’ rating for the family team at Goughs is a huge testament to the dedication and hard work of such a thriving team.”
