If elected, I will work to protect and strengthen Malmesbury – which is facing unprecedented threats – and to keep our town a great place to live and work.
I am standing as "Malmesbury Resident" because I am an independent candidate, devoted only to the town's welfare.
I have lived in Malmesbury for 18 years, mostly on the Lower High Street. This year I was elected to the Committee of the Residents' Association, at a time of changing planning law and constant pressure from house‐building companies. I believe we now face a critical period if we are to protect our unique and beautiful town from assaults from all directions. I would be proud to sit on the Council to tackle these challenges as well as residents' and employers' day‐to‐day issues.
My career is in psychology and over the past 15 years I have built up my own international training business. Previously I worked in the public sector and in large and small companies. I can bring this broad experience, a reputation for clear thinking and an appetite for hard work to the service of the town.
There are six candidates for four seats so each voter has four votes. Please make me one of your four. If you would like to support my campaign, please display my leaflet (download here). Thank you, John Gundry
