nescafe-espressoIt's easy to think you can check your receipt when you get home after the weekly shop but how do you know when the price on the shelf ticket doesn't exactly match the price you've paid?

It recently came to light that the price of a jar of Nescafe Espresso was under-priced on the shelf ticket, whilst scanning for at around 30p more at the till. What's not known is how often this happens in the store on Gloucester Road.

Duty manager, Mark Musty said "prices are increased or decreased daily from head office and it's up to staff to update shelf tickets accordingly. Human errors do occur from time to time but customer feedback is always welcome and errors should be rectified immediately." However, even though a member of staff was notified at the time, the shelf ticket price of Nescafe Espresso was incorrect for over two weeks and remained so as of yesterday.

This comes at a time when Co-op may be about to lose their monopoly on Malmesbury supermarkets as Waitrose are rumoured to be preparing a planning application on land behind the Silk Mills.
