992’s cadets litter pickingMalmesbury’s Air Cadets were out in full force recently when they joined volunteer members of the Malmesbury River Valleys Trust recently at Conygre Mead on one of their Sunday morning working parties.

The seventeen cadets did everything they could, mucking in with great enthusiasm. They removed dead branches, cleared walkways of obstructions and litter, as well as stacking the willow staves that were being cut. Cadet Toby Jarvis said, “It definitely beats sitting at home on a brilliant sunny Sunday, playing video games”. “It’s such a reward to know your giving back to the local community”. Corporal Talkowski added, “It also counts towards our Duke of Edinburgh award, which is a real bonus”.
