Malmesbury School invite you to a Presentation on “Business led innovation in a time of economic slow down” Featured

Paul Mason, Head of Development, Technology Strategy BoardAs part of a series of ‘House lectures’ celebrating the 40th birthday of Malmesbury School, the School is delighted that local businessman Paul Mason, Head of Development at the Technology Strategy Board will be visting to talk about “Business led innovation in a time of economic slow down” on Thursday 1st March 2012 at 6.30pm.

Paul studied chemistry at Oxford University (Balliol College) and joined Courtaulds PLC to work in their research department. Since then he has held positions in a number of manufacturing businesses and worked for 25 years in the chemical industry.

Paul was appointed Head of Development at Technology Strategy Board in August 2008 which is based in Swindon. The goal of the Technology Strategy Board is to accelerate economic growth by stimulating and supporting business-led innovation. The Board works in areas where there is a clear potential business benefit, helping today's emerging technologies become the growth sectors of tomorrow.

The Development team Paul heads up identifies and evaluates significant new technology-related business opportunities for the UK and where appropriate, turns them into Technology Strategy Board national programmes.
