On Saturday June 23rd Malmesbury Abbey Music Society are presenting a concert of Music from the Lowlands of 17th Century Scotland in the Abbey at 7:30pm.  Tickets priced £12 (£10 for members, and £5 for students) can be purchased at the door.

The musicians are Pantagruel, who since their formation in 2002, have been delighting audiences across Europe with their semi-staged performances of renaissance musicke. Anna Maria Wierod’s pure and expressive voyce combined with citterns, gitterns, flutes and viols played by Mark Wheeler and Paulina van Laahoven bring to life the passionate music of a distant age.

The Society ran a competition to design a poster for this concert, and the winners will be presented with their prizes during the course of the evening.
