malmsbury-cadets-christian-aid-carwashMalmesbury’s Air Cadets gave the local Christian Aid group a great start to their fundraising week by holding a car wash at their Squadron on Tetbury Hill.

Armed with buckets, sponges, twenty-one cadets washed their way through the morning and early afternoon with bucket loads of enthusiasm, raising £261.00 for the Malmesbury group.

The cadets professionalism, hard work and high standards did not go unnoticed with many positive comments from the public and extra donations.

Asked if they enjoyed washing so many cars Cadet Sergeant Toby Jarvis said "The Christian Aid Carwash helped to invoke a further sense of pride amongst the squadron by showing to the local community of Malmesbury what we can achieve as a unit through the use of effective teamwork by everyone involved."

Andy Dawson from Christian Aid said, “I'd just like to thank the cadets and the squadron for the fantastic job they did for us. The young people involved are a credit to the organisation, and to Malmesbury”.
