A fascinating insight into life in Malmesbury Abbey
from the Viking Invasions and the end of the Monastic life to the re-founding of the Benedictine Abbey in the 960s has been organised by Athelstan Museum.
In this talk, Tony McAleavy will cover how the Abbey was re-established, its national significance during this period, giving an insight into daily life and how the strict rules of Benedictine life were not always followed.
