ANOTHER YEAR (12A)
A warm, beautifully composed and wonderful portrait of English life by acclaimed director MIKE LEIGH. This prize-winning film was one of the highlights of this year's Cannes Film Festival and has received the best reviews of any film released in 2010. The ever popular Jim Broadbent heads the cast, which also features a magnificent performance from Lesley Manville. Funny, gripping and intensely moving by turns, this is a memorable British film from a director at the peak of his form. Not to be missed on any account.
HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS - PART 1 (12A)
As Harry races against time and evil to destroy the Horcruxes, he uncovers the existence of three most powerful objects in the wizarding world: the Deathly Hallows.
THE AMERICAN (15)
Jack (George Clooney) is a master craftsman;he is also an assassin. When a job in Sweden ends badly, he vows that his next assignment will be his last. He holes up in a small village in the stunningly beautiful Italian countryside to await his last instructions. He relishes being away from death for a spell. Surprising himself, Jack seeks out the friendship of local priest Father Benedetto and pursues romance with local woman Clara. But by stepping out of the shadows, Jack may be tempting fate. A very well made thriller with some serious dramatic sub-plots and George Clooney's best film to date
THE SECRET OF KELLS (U)
A fabulous animated film from Ireland telling the story of a young boy, the writing of a magical book (The real 'Book of Kells') and the struggle to save it from the Viking invaders. A splendid story for all the family, beautifully told.
